Greg Davis, Vice President Operations-Davis Digital Services: Greg Davis’ thirty year career is a story of parallel skill acquisition in photography and computer technology. His professional experience began in the Data Processing Department of the Midwest Stock Exchange, supporting mainframe information processing. When the company reorganized and transferred the Data Processing management to New York, Greg picked up his camera and perfected his hobby. As an Assistant Photographer at Powell Photography Studios, Greg refined his portrait photography techniques. Greg followed the path that was laid for him and Photos By Greg, Inc. was established and incorporated in 1996, first servicing one —then many— schools within the Chicago Public School System with student portraiture. As time passed, the client base grew to include a diverse number of corporate and private sector clients. With this growth came the desire and need for a “service solution provider” for the client’s media products. The company acquired a four-color, digital printing press in 2006. Photography techniques and products coupled with computer and digital press technology merged into professional imaging and Davis Digital Services was also formed. As DDS rapidly grew, so did Greg’s expertise in digital photography and digital press, producing superb images and media materials for his clients. DDS offered clients image reproduction as well as capture. By adding print services, Greg delivered clients’ images within the context of printed marketing materials, including brochures, banners, booklets, and much more. Today, with both photography and reproduction capabilities, Greg continues to acquire new clients utilizing his proficient skills, winning personality and deeply creative spirit.
